Apply for Import-Export Code (IE Code)
IE Code is a ten-digit license code required by businesses to begin an import-export business in India. It is also necessary for availing benefits under schemes like MEIS and SEIS. Application has to be made to the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Department of Commerce for allotment of IE Code.
